LAX to W. 25th street, where me and the Big Is sleep
Ready to embark on this new thing, blind steps
We crept up sunset to the Cube Vision suite
No petro, we hop fresh off the metro, rapid
Door men by day, by night director or an actor
Everything in LA is so backwards, or maybe it’s me
Because all in all, I’m just a kid from the D
Debbie in my ear, making it clear I’m here to network
I remind her Debbie Monday I start at The Urban Network
She laughs, “Warren I need you to let go of your past”
Sad, someone so small is so mad
Grab, a monthly bus pass, to roll
Yes sir, you know, Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles
Vermont to Pico, Pico to La Brea
Ms. A. Terry stays down the way, but
She’s never home, interning at Interscope
Excuse me, I.G.A looking back on them days
We are shopping now, third street promenade
Chrissy Depeaw was out, Israil, music director now
“So Fresh, So Clean” I knew the song, but I know the producer now
Thanks to this internship, I dropped the seeds, my career’s like a plant
I sipped orange juice at the historic Record Plant, go figure that

Grand Finale
June 4th, 2007, I landed in Los Angeles, CA my trip to the place that makes dreams and stars everyday. My mindset, how can I make Los Angeles work for me? A question that my new network of entertainment professionsals would all answer in there own way. It seems like just yesterday when I first stepped through the walls of The Urban Network with no real since of what I was about to embark on. I was welcomed with open arms by Mr. Miller London, who I later welcomed in a...special way (He knows what I'm talking about). But throughout the course of this summer I learned several valuable lessons that will last me a lifetime. By mid July I'm in full stride, I know my way around LA at this point, I have meetings with Capitol Records, Ruff Ryders, individuals I met at Interscope. It was just a great experience for me, I truly feel that every students that believes this is the business for them needs to take a trip to LA. I learned that this business is not for everyone. That's not a bad thing, LA proved to me that I was made for this business.
I have no clue what I would be doing if it where not for this burning passion I have for music. I look forward to returning to the bright lights of Hollywood to continue my bright future.

Full Stride
What's up everyone, I hope all is well with everyone out there. Well lets get into whats been going on with me since it has been a while since my last blog.
I closed my first deal at the Urban Network that's to some insider help, naw just playing but the deal was finalized. Miller London is happy with the check he received, he was even happier when he realized it cleared the bank, LOL.
I had my first real sit down with Miller, and we just talked about music, life the state of the world...I know that seems a lot to cover in allotted amount of time but we made it happen. He sent me to the studio to meet with the owners being that I need some records mixed. I met with the owner a guy named "Cookie". DONT ASK ME LOLOLOLOLOL!!! But anyway I got to talking to him and found out that he runs the West Coast Division of Ruff Ryders (For those who don't know, DMX, The Lox, Jadakiss, Eve, Swiss Beats, Etc..) So we kicked it some more and we have somethings in the works. The owner of Ruff Ryders comes in town today so we have a meeting this afternoon.
Also I got with this rock band named The Hills I'm appearing on there new album. But I'm on my way to the meeting listed above I will finish later but this is cool for now...
Peace

First Installment
Whats up folks, this is Mr. Griffin reporting live from Los Angeles, CA. That's still sounds alittle bit weird. Anyway it went down something like this. I landed at LAX at 11 pm on June 1, 2007 hopped on the Super Shuttle (if you don't know what that is then step your game up LOL). Got to the crib that I am subletting and got with the Big Iz (Israil Ali my homie from Detroit, also a McNally Smith student. Also remember all this because I am not going to be continuing to use the parenthesis so keep up). We kicked for a second and we walked to the store at like 1 am. Came back and went to sleep.
June 2nd, we get up and do video interviews on what its like to be in LA and looking forward to our internships. We connected (Got together with) with some family of the Big Iz and just kicked it (hung out) for the rest of the weekend.
June 4th, started my first day of work at The Urban Network. I walked in at 9: 45 am and was greeted by the man himself, Mr. Miller London. Quick history lesson, Miller London was a very young man when he went to work for Berry Gordy at Motown Records in 1969. VP of Sales for a very long 21 years. Then he just bought the Urban Network.....Rewind HE BOUGHT THE URBAN NETWORK..but anyway he is a very cool guy. Gave me some music to listen and review, introduced me to the staff and let me go to work.
June 5th, the kid brought home the bacon and has a few deals on the table, can't drop names not finalized yet so stay tuned.
That's enough for the first installment. Stay tuned grab some friends, pop a bag of popcorn and stay along for this summer's roller coaster ride....
